Reinterpreting the History of Architecture

This project seeks to return to the essence of Christianity through a simple yet impactful architectural language, combined with an innovative vision. This was the approach taken by M. Fuksas and D. Mandrelli Fuksas in the challenging task of reconstructing the church after the earthquake.

The cubic design conveys a sense of monumentality and strength, while the white exterior evokes asceticism and unity. But don’t just admire its striking exterior—step inside to experience an interior that invites profound reflection on faith and the nature of sacred space.

Fragmentation and reconnection of different portions is the theme of the work. In my art proposals related to graphic design, I include simple elements such as the square, the round, and the line. The square, an element/form not found in nature, I consider it a void, the round is for me a fullness, and the line is time.
Thus, in a strict grid of time lines, which form empty spaces, these are ‘illuminated’ vividly by fragments of experiences, emotions, encounters, feelings, to form a contemporary mosaic in the lightness and not only of sensations.
